oh my goodness, work and life has been a whirlwind of chaos lately, so much that i really don't know where i've misplaced my head. yikes! some brief updates:

awesome awesome site visit on friday to murphy creek, mokelumne river, and the winegrowers commission in the lodi area. met some amazing people, including landowners, regulatory agency people, grantees, nonprofit representatives, and more. lovely end to the day-- wine-tasting! my coworker ezra and i were thoroughly entertained.

saw my cousin taylor (as well as most of the rest of his family) on saturday morning. i didn't get to see tay pitch because he pitched on friday, but it was good to see him in general.

earthquakes beat the galaxy 1-0 on saturday! woo hoo!

chris got into law school... congratulations chris!

ucla alumni association is trying to screw me yet again. trying not to be pissed about it, but seriously. does dedication mean NOTHING to people anymore?! i work my ass off, and i always get played by the damn politicking. screw that.

cable is working. yay! the phone line in the living room is not. boo!

didn't get to see either dan or pabs this weekend, although they were both in town. :( oh well, next time. i gotta hang with pabs before he skips the country for more australian pastures.

somehow usps lost a package i had delivered to my work address. supposedly it got here last thursday, but no one claims to have seen it or signed for it. the tracking thing is wrong? i have no idea.

it's been pouring for days. has anyone alerted the weather gods that it's the end of april, for goodness' sakes!?!

contracting contracting contracting... putting out IMW fires and mitigating for other people's bad project management.... getting overloaded and even more overloaded with projects that i can't seem to find the time to deal with... isn't work a blast?

oh man, do i ever need a vacation. *sigh*
