i'm finishing up the third straight day of being at work for 10 hours, and my brain is slowly fizzling and spilling all over my desk. the all-staff project review meetings (the mosh pit, as we lovingly call them) are extremely interesting, but very very draining. because of the new online process we're trying to implement (and which has half-assedly been implemented), everything has gotten kind of muddled so it was a little more difficult to prepare for than usual. i would say than normal, but there never seems to be a "normal" around here. as they say, the only thing constant is change... and i swear that nfwf lives and dies by that adage! we have a very crunched timeline which may leave me working on MLK day, but that might mean that i can take off the following friday instead. that might work to my advantage, if i take off a day that most people aren't taking off... then it'll feel like a three-day weekend but i won't have to deal with the travel woes! ahh, now i just have to find a place to travel to.... i have a ton of vacation time too, maybe i'll just create a 4-day weekend or something for myself. hmmmm....

i'm going climbing on sunday! hopefully, at least. we were supposed to go last weekend but then we decided to go to san diego instead. this weekend i think liz and i for sure will go, and hopefully marla will be able to join us if her schedule allows. her current position with the girl scouts makes her work a lot of weekends :( OOH! and maybe i can actually finish up my christmas shopping this weekend! imagine that. it's only the second week in january, just a tad late...

time to make like a banana and split...
