randomly randomness....

monday was stressful. too much drama, and too many last-minute flurries of stress-inducing madness. everything seemed to be in upheaval-- soccer coach threatening to leave, having to get last minute stuff done for the board meeting, scholarship reporting being more of a pain than anticipated, boys being lame.... argh! oh, and the fact that i was supposed to have monday off, and then ended up being in the office for five hours? meh. i got to take yesterday off completely, though, so that was nice.

tomorrow is teddie's birthday, so we took him out to dinner monday night at kingfish in san mateo. pretty yummy. afterwards, teddie, erica, tina, and i went back to t&e's place and played you don't know jack. i haven't played that since freshman year in the dorms, when jason williams and i used to play every monday and thursday when a new online game came out. i love that game! i also just happened to kick ass. :) i didn't realize i was so adept at the gibberish questions. that's somewhat telling, isn't it? hmm....

the galaxy sent me a free soccer ball and a plea to buy season tickets from them. the soccer ball was in thanks for supporting them last year. uh, wha? the only time i bought tickets from the home depot center was for the championship game, in which my team was playing and the galaxy was not. wouldn't you think, in the interest of saving money and targeting an audience that may actually be receptive, that they would take a look at where the ticket purchases were coming from? like, say, my address in san francisco? or the fact that it was to a game without the galaxy in it? uh, duh. but hey, a free soccer ball (and it's a pretty decent one, too). and, as bryan says, all the more reason to kick the hell out of it! :)

found out recently that one of my good guy friends got backstabbed by his best friend... evidently my friend's recent ex-girlfriend (who lives in LA) started dating my friend's (ex-) best friend (who also lives in LA) a few months ago. my friend wasn't asked about it, or told about it, until it had already become a boyfriend-girlfriend situation between the ex-girlfriend and the ex-best friend. UGH. i am so pissed off about people who are able to do things like that to their friends.... and this was no ordinary friendship. these two guys grew up together, have been friends for 20 years. what a crock. i wouldn't even begin to think about dating setareh's ex or karena's ex, for example. the possibility just doesn't exist in my mind, because i wouldn't ever want to put that kind of onus on my friendships with them. i can't believe that other people would do that....

soccer team potluck tonight. hopefully we'll work out some of the drama....
