UConn wins the NCAA men's basketball championship, in a game that was never a contest (against Georgia Tech). there's even the possibility that the women's team will be champions, too! imagine that, in the same year. it'll be like LA (lakers and spark). woo hoo.

i made a promise to myself that i wouldn't complain about work on here anymore, but i just have to say that every time i feel like i've been made invaluable, i get myself dressed down again. this time it was to request that i be allowed to travel (four of my coworkers are making/have made really cool trips in the past month and in the next month)... and i get told, oh, you just went to barstow, you got to travel! yeah, right. because meetings in a conference room in barstow are even remotely close to a site-visit-filled trip around texas, or a site-visit-filled trip (including helicopter rides!) to mexico and the lower colorado river, or even to DC to meet staff there! ugh. whatever. i really need to get out of here...
