happy birthday, judy! (her birthday was actually yesterday, but i didn't post yesterday, so...) a bunch of had a good time last night celebrating at nv in san francisco. i didn't make it to dinner because i was watching the quakes wipe the field with the galaxy. woo hoo! it's always so lovely to see that california rivalry go our way. several of the guys played like bats out of hell, too-- the real stars of the night were former galaxy players (brian ching and brian mullan) who had three goals between them. russell, mulrooney, and derosario also had better games than i'd seen out of them this season. and MAN, is that a nasty rivalry. i thought ryan suarez was going to take ching's head off, and chris albright derosario's. LA sure has the stranglehold move down. sheesh.

anyway, clubbing-- much fun. robbie and anthony came (judy's my rival sun friends... both cool guys who i'm getting to know and like :)), and robbie busted out some of his white-boy moves :) i didn't drink much because i had to drive, but i had a pretty good time anyway (considering clubbing isn't really my thing unless i've had a few drinks, that's a good thing. but no, anyu, i don't need alcohol to have a good time ;)). anthony was trying to get his game on with karena, and she was playing along, but i don't think it got him anywhere. poor anthony. but thanks for walking me to my car! :)

speaking of which, the security guys outside the club were big jackasses.... we were with a big group, so we really needed to get everyone together and make sure everyone had rides. but the security people were yelling at us to get to our cars and get off the sidewalk. uh, what? don't you want to make sure people are getting out of there safely? i was totally sober too, and was one of the people trying to make sure people were okay, so it was really pissing me off that they were being such jerks. i'm sure the security guys want to get everyone out of there so they can go home too, but give me a damn break. what if people needed to wait for a cab? they can't stand on the sidewalk to wait for a cab? i hate people who abuse power for stupid reasons. if you're a damn security guard for a nightclub, you have to expect drunk people at late hours. it's part of the gig. get over yourselves and behave like human beings. ugh.

today i washed my car! a momentous occasion, i know. i was going to take it to a car wash, but the line there was achingly long, so i washed it myself. yay! i also watered my landlady's weed-infested lawn at the same time. yes, i'm allowing weeds to fester, but at least they'll be green. right? uhhh... i also bought running shoes today. yay! i've been needing new running shoes for ages. and now i need to worry about what i need to have ready for my half dome trek next weekend. i'm really afraid that liz and marla are going to regret having invited me... *sigh* oh well.

hey i'm sitting here next to my stereo (listening to the may cd. yay! :)), and i just noticed it's a karaoke machine. wha? heh. funny. the things you notice when you think you're not paying attention.
