nothing big to report, so this will be short (ahh, the poet in me).

ronald reagan died. it's been all over everything, so presumably everyone knows. i didn't like him much, but he did sign NFWF into establishment during his presidency (although evidently not by choice). all things considered, though, he's far better than what we've got now. i do like that i get friday off to "mourn" him, though. (we follow federal policies regarding things such as closures, so we get the same federal holiday that the government is getting for the state funeral.)

my last spring season game with zephyr was saturday. we lost, 1-4, but marcela (a defender) had an awesome goal. went to the earthquakes-canada game saturday night, which was fun... it was nice to see frank yallop back in spartan stadium. he was a good coach, and i hope he does good things for the canadian national team like he did for san jose. except it hurt us that onstad and derosario were playing for the other team! we really should get rid of conway, he's such a miserable goalkeeper.... we're going to need him, too, since pat is going to be gone for a few games. *sigh* where are josh saunders and steve cronin? bring on the rookies! interestingly, the power went out and the game had to be ended early! may have been a good thing for the quakes, though, who were not up to snuff this week.

yesterday was a bbq at julia's... we ended up staying until almost 10pm! it was fun, though... a nice relaxing day in the sun with fun friends. :)

oh, and friday night was one of marla's big events... whew, glad that one's over! met up with judy and kat at cheesecake factory afterwards, and boy did we gab. heh. it's always fun to be able to be totally candid about things with people, and i love that i can be with my girls. yay! :)
