i haven't updated lately about my boys in blue-- but they won on saturday, in grand style! two of the scorers were the newest additions to the team-- mark chung, picked up by the quakes about a month ago from colorado, and kelly gray, a san jose native who was just traded to the quakes on june 14. gray had a bright showing-- he somehow lost favor in chicago, where he was coming from, but he definitely had some highlight reel touches on saturday. i think he'll be a great addition to the team, as well as adding to the team's height average (the backline now has three tall guys-- robinson, gray, and califf, as well as sub cochrane and gk onstad). the third goal was from my beloved wade barrett, who despite the goal continues to have a mediocre showing this season. :( the unexpected bonus highlight of the game: when the announcement came to remind game-goers that the next home game would bring the return of landon donovan to spartan stadium, the crowd BOOED. landon is going to get booed! i'm so sad that i have to miss that game...
