i wish i had more html capability. i kind of want to update my blog template, although i do like my primary colors thing i have going on... but i suck at html and all of the sample blog templates are really boring. any web designers out there want to do some pro bono work?

evidently my blog has also become the outpost for comment spammers. i had no idea that they could go through and get ahold of stuff like that. email, yes. but blog comment boxes? some people have far too much free time.

i am a fan of bananas. i even picked up a free one, courtesy of president hennessey (some staff/faculty appreciation luncheon). he also promises a small bonus to each of the university's 11,000 employees. wow! that sure adds up.

you know what i'm not a fan of, though? landon donovan, and the terrorizing he did last sunday to my beloved earthquakes. not only does he not deserve the chance to say "i told you so" to the team he abandoned, but the earthquakes have cobbled together an amazing season on the wings of raw talent and passion. (it certainly wasn't on the wings of AEG or MLS... or even on the wings of goodyear. even free tires might have helped.) after going undefeated the entire season, they are now in a two-goal hole going into the home leg of the first round of playoffs. they pulled off an incredible comeback win in 2003, but would it be too much to ask for that lightning to strike twice? because the quakes need to be able to say home is san jose, they really could use the championship. plus, it would look nice next to the supporter's shield hardware. american airlines keeps running specials for flights to dallas, too... it may be serendipitous after all.

i miss the outdoors. i spent saturday on a high ropes course in the pescadero hills, among the redwoods i love so much, and i just... miss it. anyone up for some camping or hiking in the next few weekends? it's still lovely camping weather here in california...

In re HTML, there are plenty of helpful books on the market. You can probably borrow them at your public library, or read them in the university's library. If you find one you like, you could go crazy and buy a copy.

Hope the whole gang enjoyed Thanksgiving in Laguna (Beach? Hills?).

Watch our for the AFSCME thugs!
