the characters:
my cousin taylor, the minor-league pitcher
noah, the five-year-old friend of my friend's sports-loving kid (not so sports-loving himself, though)
the scene:
post-game (a win), fans waiting by the clubhouse door for the appearance of the freshly showered ball players. taylor appears, carrying a small san francisco giants bag full of his toiletries.
and... action!
taylor: thanks for coming to my game! it's nice to meet you.
noah (staring up at taylor intently): what's in the bag?
taylor: the bag? oh, it's just my toiletries.
noah: toiletries? what's that?
taylor: you know, things you use in the shower-- your comb, hair gel, soap, stuff like that.
noah: oh.
[both walk for a few seconds towards the gate.]
noah: so, really, what's in the bag?
taylor: here, i'll show you. [starts to pull out hair gel, deodorant, etc.]
noah: oh, it's your PURSE! [duh, why didn't you say so? ;)]
..end scene..
