some days there's nothing i can do but bend over and take it. today happens to be one of them. i've been holding off on making personal travel plans because they coincide with a work-related conference, and it would be worthless to fly home and fly back the next day. however, i haven't been given the go-ahead to register for the conference yet, because it's somewhat pricey. in the meantime, flight prices for my own trip are going up and up, and i still can't make reservations because i don't know what the plans are. either way, i'm going to end up having to pay additional money out-of-pocket for the delay, or i'm going to have crappy flight plans because nothing is available anymore. this is coming from the same organization that can't even give me a raise from my just-above-poverty-level salary because the development people can't get operations money coming in. GAH!

so much for job satisfaction. i'm going to go beat my head against a wall now.
