as nfwf makes it way into the first grant cycle under the new online submission process, we fight yet again with the way things are being inconsistently rolled out. it really sucks, because we're inundated with questions and proposals, and we haven't been given much guidance on how to field them. i really wish, for once, that nfwf would get its act in gear before it rolls something out. the fortunate thing with this new online thing is that there's a text limit for each field... that means that people can't submit really long and involved proposals. *gasp* they have to be succinct?! gracious me, is it even possible?!

the concerts went well this weekend. much love to the parents, mark, liz, and marla for coming out and supporting me. i really appreciate it. it's one of those things that i'm afraid to ask people to do, but i'm so glad that they did come. it means a lot to me, especially this time, with my first solo. the solos both went well... i think i surprised some people (including my parents) who didn't know i could sing. i guess i surprised myself, too, i didn't really know i was much of anything until i was forced to sing by myself. it was so nerve-wracking, though-- i was exhausted friday night after my first show, from all the tension that had built up. i was so afraid my voice was going to shake, but i did fine. yay! :) but also, yay that it's over! :) next season is going to be more upbeat love music, which should be fun. unfortunately, the cute bass won't be back. he says maybe in the fall....

zephyr also had our last game of the season on saturday. we lost badly, because only 8 lady z's showed up, but we played our hearts out. the other team even congratulated us afterwards for how hard we played. it was a fun game, and we did pretty well considering, but it's always difficult to play a fairly matched game when you're three players down. oh well, we'll bring it next season.

i have a dvd player! :) courtesy of taylor and the cousins' gift exchange, i now have no excuse not to buy dvds. yipe!

i'm looking forward to some additional free time during the week... although this week it'll be taken up by full proposal review, holiday shopping, working out, and editing ARC articles. too much to do!
