oh, super server girl i am
doing the things only server girl can
with dell tech support and IT guy jim
we forced the server to work again
reboots, rebuilds, and DOS commands galore
fixing things never fixed before
now we're back running online
and we hope upon hope the server runs fine!

jeez. what a day. and yesterday, too. man, when technology breaks down, we don't have a clue! (sorry, i need to stop the rhyming bit.) the server died yesterday, and i've been helping jim try to get it back online all day today. it finally came back on around 4pm, after lots of effort by jim. he's a rockstar, seriously. anyway, i'm really hoping to be able to take tomorrow off in lieu of MLK day, but i may still need to come into the office. i'm done with my abstracts (big scary deadline tomorrow), but most of my associates in the program department are not. if i need to help them, i'll probably have to come in. meh. oh well...

but in other news, go bruins! (i'm hoping for a chance against stanford. like i said, hoping...)
