WOW. so unproductive today. i went to see my lovely dentist this morning (down in san jose), so i didn't get into work until lunchtime. since then i've done about three work-related things. *sigh* so bad. i think i'm ready for the three-day weekend.

what is it with people not being able to meet deadlines? i'm trying to organize an event, and the deadline (an extended one, at that) was monday. i just got an email today asking for more information. fortunately for the guy, i can probably still get tickets, but the likelihood that he'll be sitting with other people from our group is somewhat slim. he may be able to get in the same section, but i don't know how close he'll be to the rest of us. oh well. maybe i should have bought a batch of tickets and just sold them until they sold out (rather than taking ticket orders). maybe next time.

contemplating a career change... or at least an application for a career change...

okay, THIS cracks me up. and makes me feel better about my annoyances about commercialized holidays.
