YOUR SENIOR YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL

What year was it? 1995-1996

What were your favorite bands? live, hootie and the blowfish (before every song sounded the same), sarah mclachlan, green day, bush, red hot chili peppers

What was your favorite outfit? overalls, a tshirt, and a flannel shirt, or soccer shorts and my adilettes.

What was up with your hair? long and brownish or sometimes reddish

Who were your best friends? setareh, karena, nici, vickie, chad, anne

What did you do after school? journo, soccer, girl scouts, key club volunteer activities, homework

Did you take the bus? no, never did. but then, my high school is like 1/4 mile from my parents' house... so i walked or rode my bike (unless i got a ride).

Who did you have a crush on? jeez. i'm not sure i even remember! i know there was dave my senior year, but he and i actually dated, so i don't think that counts as a crush. other than that, i think i was too busy. no one in particular stands out, but i'm sure i was as angsty about boys as the next high school girl.

Did you fight with your parents? oh yeah. my mom and i have similar personalities, so of course we butted heads. we're much better now.

Who did you have a CELEBRITY crush on? i've never been into crushing on celebrities. you know that whole new kids thing? i stayed as far away from that as i could. if there was anyone, it probably would have been a soccer or football player of some sort.

Did you smoke cigarettes? nah, i've never been a fan. i was such a goody-goody in high school, too, that i yelled at chad for smoking.

Did you lug all of your books around in your backpack all day because you were too nervous to find your locker? i lugged my books around, but that's only because we didn't have lockers. i made do though because i had a locker for soccer, and i had the journalism back room to store stuff in.

Did you have a 'clique'? not really, unless you count me in the nerd crowd. i guess that's the closest fit, although i was an athlete too so who knows.

Did you have "The Max" like Zach, Kelly, and Slater? ah, saved by the bell-- loved that show. and no, we didn't have a cafe hang-out.

Who did you want to be just like? wow, i'm boring, i don't remember that either.

What did you want to be when you grew up? a marine biologist or author or newspaper editor.

Where did you think you'd be at the age you are now? good question. i still don't know what i want to do when i grow up. i guess i'm doing okay for myself despite my lack of direction ;) still in the plans: a master's degree.
