so, i officially sent out my first fully-negotiated contract yesterday (well, since i started at SU). i do not have signature authority yet (evidently that is going to be an onerous process), but at least i'm doing the right things. i think i've already started to make some inroads-- people here seem to be impressed with my progress and capability. yay!

kevin smith was on alice this morning! one of the regular talk show hosts (whose banality i've started tuning out in the morning, although i used to listen to them religiously) was gone because his wife had their baby... so kevin smith (aka silent bob) is the temporary jock all week! i love kevin smith humor (as in chasing amy, dogma, clerks, etc.). he was definitely a refreshing change. sarah (the other regular jock, not with baby) and kevin were trying to goad robin williams into calling into the show. evidently he has called in a few times-- can you imagine kevin and robin going at it? no need for sarah and no name on that radio show. heh.

my apartment is pretty much taking on the semblance of home, now that most of my stuff is unpacked. my sweet better half decided to curb my complaining by putting away most of my remaining boxes and furniture, so now it's mostly livable. yay!

hey, weird. i just noticed that my stapler has my apartment number on it. hmm.

barring any rain closing the fields, the spring soccer season opens on saturday. double yay!
