we all know that baseball players use steroids, and that it's a bad influence on younger players, but this whole congressional hearing thing is making jose canseco out to be a huge ass. now, i don't in any way condone the steroids thing (drugs are bad, mmkay?) but the whole finger-pointing thing is pretty sad. how many asterisks in the record books are going to come out of this?
in soccer news, it's almost soccer season! i'm so excited. the earthquakes are having a season-opening rally on thursday, march 31, and the first game of the season is april 2. woo hoo! i miss my soccer. one day i'll suck it up and buy a jersey (before the team leaves town!). especially now that the wadester is BACK!
sorry for my lack of posting lately... i've been busy! i'm also not super comfortable with posting at work (yet), but it's going well and i'm enjoying it.
as you can probably guess from my previous post, my brother is in town for a few short days before he goes off to texas... so the whole fam went out for thai last night. zoltan bought a sweet new(ish) car, a 2004 black volvo s40. ooh, it's purty. i gave him a hard time for buying such a car, but it's a very nice ride. (definitely an upgrade from his '95 civic.) he also has gotten himself a nice six-pack, which makes me jealous and slightly motivated at the same time. (must... work... out!) we all headed over to play pool after dinner where my dad proceeded to play lots of nice shots but then scratch on the eight-ball-- four times! yikes. i, as i may have mentioned before, am really bad at pool, but it was fun. plus, that pool hall has monday nights free for ladies. pool, anyone? (it's even in walking distance from my apartment, so we can drink and be merry! i mean, get some exercise. yeah.)
happy st. patty's day!
