i've started to listen to knbr in the mornings, since co-host brian murphy (a ucla alum) was the keynote speaker at our annual ucla scholarship banquet last week. i'm a sports geek, as you all know, and knbr's morning talk show is focused on the sports world. besides the fact that murph is an entertaining everyman, he loves some of the teams i love (ucla of course, the niners, the a's). the first morning i tuned in, chavy called in to chime in about the pennant race. as eric chavez is one of my favorite baseball players to watch, it was great to hear his (surprisingly intelligent) perspective. and this morning, i had the distinct pleasure of hearing former 49er great ronnie lott sing, "mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys," in anticipation of the 49ers' showdown with the hated dallas 'boys this sunday.

nothing like football players singin' in the morning, i tell you. i love this show!
