on her way into work today, h witnessed an accident and subsequent rollover on the road in front of her. a small pick-up truck and a car were fighting over the same lane space, a situation which almost always ends badly. the resulting collision caused the car to careen into the center divide, flip 180 degrees onto its roof, and skid along the divider for some yards. the truck also ricocheted back across three lanes of traffic to slide along the right side wall. h, with her pd training in hand, reacted to the situation and went to help the driver in the overturned vehicle. the driver was unconscious upon arrival, and h climbed in pull her out if she could. the driver couldn't be moved, so h stabilized her until emergency crews arrived. when they arrived, they had to cut the car away from the driver.... with h in the middle of it, maintaining the driver.
who reacts like that? people with a community-safety and police-trained mentality, that's who. would some police department please hire her already?
