a's lose the division series.... yet another testament to the string of chances they haven't been able to convert. so sad. who the heck do i root for now? the cubs? no way in hell am i rooting for the red sox or the yankees, and i don't care about the marlins, so i guess it's the cubs. although, in all likelihood, i won't be watching any more baseball this season. it's football season, hockey season, and almost soccer playoff season. i'll be watching those. damn a's.

we're giving presentations today at work to caroline getty (as in getty museum, etc)... she used to be on our board of directors, and is still a big donor to nfwf. i had to get dressed up! i don't have to speak long, and i'm speaking about a project i'm really familiar with, but still. these things make me nervous.
