i almost forgot-- and i'm surprised i am saying it again, but holy buzzer shot! freakin' stanford does it again, to preserve their undefeated (26-0) record in the closing seconds of the game against washington state. man!

in other sports news, thanks to all the cowboys fans in my life who have taken it upon themselves to tease me about the niners' flood of released/traded players ;) as i've mentioned, those of us in the niners camp prefer to call this a rebuilding year.... with the release of jeff garcia, garrison hearst, derrick deese, sean moran, and ron stone, and the trade of terrell owens, we're definitely going to need some of those (previous) second-stringers to step it up.

i just noticed that nate fikse is on the 9ers roster now... did we just pick him up? he was pretty good when he was playing for the bruins...
